Hi I am looking for a kitchen fitter to carry out a number of outstanding installation, reconfiguration and remedial works to my existing kitchen. The kitchen is approximately 4,070 mm long, with runs of approximately 1,760 mm on one side and 1,814 mm on the other. With the exception of the extractor, I already have the kitchen units, replacement worktop, appliances and most other materials required. I am therefore looking for a fitter to carry out the work rather than supply and install a new kitchen. The works broadly comprise: Dishwasher and cabinet swap ● Swap the positions of the integrated dishwasher and the adjacent cabinet unit: the dishwasher will be moved into the cabinet's current position, and that cabinet will be moved into the dishwasher's current position. ● Reconnect the dishwasher and make the necessary plumbing adjustments so that the dishwasher door can open sufficiently for normal loading and unloading. Cabinet and worktop extension ● Extend the worktop by approximately 730 mm. ● Install the corresponding upper and lower cabinet units. I have the required parts. Reposition the relevant plug socket. ● Complete the associated wall tiling and making-good. Separate tower cupboard ● Replace the existing door on a separate tower cupboard with the supplied two-door arrangement. I have the replacement parts, which only require fitting. Extractor ● Install a suitable extractor above the existing gas hob, maintaining the manufacturer's required minimum clearance from the hob. I just need cost of installation, I will supply the extractor. ● Remove a small section of the existing top row of tiles (approximately 764 mm wide) and retile/make good around the new extractor. Worktop ● Remove the existing defective worktop. ● Cut/fabricate and install the replacement worktop I already have, including the sink and hob cut-outs, sealing and joints. ● The finished worktop will run along both side runs (approximately 1,760 mm and 1,814 mm) and the back run (approximately 2,850 mm). ● (The current worktop extends fully across the back and right-hand side, but only approximately 1,030 mm along the 1,760 mm left-hand run.) Cabinet components ● Replace fewer than five damaged internal cabinet components where replacement parts are available. Wall tiling ● Investigate and rectify loose wall tiles. ● Complete the unfinished tiling around the extractor and within the proposed worktop/cabinet extension. Sink/plumbing ● Replace the existing old flexible tap connectors beneath the kitchen sink. ● Carry out the plumbing work required for the dishwasher position swap described above. General completion ● Carry out any necessary final adjustments, alignment and finishing to ensure the kitchen units, doors, appliances, worktop and associated components are properly installed and functioning as intended. I would be grateful if you could let me know whether this is the type of work you undertake and, if so, whether you can provide an itemised quotation. I can provide photographs and further details, or we can arrange a visit if helpful.
